    Pearson Cougar cat # 964

    I was wondering if i could get some information about a Ben Pearson Cougar that i got a yard sale.
    cat. - 964
    length - 5'4"
    ser. K- 4624
    wt. @28" 45#

    i was hoping you could tell me what length string it uses and any other useful information.

    I have the same bow, it belonged to my Grandfather before me, and I treasure this bow because of it. I dont know much about it though. I'm told the model is a cougar but I really am unsure. As far as string selection take you bow to your local archery pro shop, they should be able to set you up with a new string for around 10 bucks, this is the best thing since they can tell you if your bow is shootable or if there is some issue that would make it unsafe. They will also be able to tell you how many strands in your string and advantages to different materials that make the string. This should give you a good foundation to use this bow, and they can even make great suggestions for what arrow to use. Good luck and let me know if you found any more info on the bow
